I got a phone call this morning from Shawn, asking for help finding his two lost discs at UVIC, so I was like, what the fuck. So in an hour he picked me up from my house, we went back to the course, and brought a couple nice pairs of trimmers and a shovel, so we attempted to take care of the trouble areas by hand with trimmers. That did not work well, a few blisters later we went to Low Cost Rentals in Victoria and picked up a heavy duty weed whacker.

About three hours into it we had completely cleared out the trees and underlying brush along Holes 1 and 2. This included cutting all the dead branches on the trees that really clog up the flight path, and make things hard to find. So now the trees are not so painful to see through, you can actually follow the flight of your disc for once!!!

It took a few more hours but we cleared out holes 8 and 9, so you can shoot a good throw low and straight, and not get cuahgt up by grass or dead branches. After we finished, the fairway on hole 9 was a good 5 feet wider than before, with visibility below the branches so you can follow your drive even if it goes off the fairway. For the first time this year we can shoot a nice clean fairway drive to #1,2,8 and 9
