The Island Tour finally completed with a final tournament at Bowen Park in Nanaimo, BC. The course was 36 holes, all Par 3 to make a tournament par of 108. Overall there was a good turnout from all up and down the Gulf Islands, and it made for a tightly matched game throughout the Masters, Open and Amatuer divisions.
Playing a game in the deep leaves from the old maples found throughout the park made color selection an important factor in choosing your disc for the throw. Hardy lost his orange Roc and was found later after he left, so if you see Hardy from Cortez Island, let him know all is not lost, I have his disc.
After the round we played a game of 3.00 per player doubles with the twelve remaining players, winner take all. I won with a lot of help from my partner, J.
